Today we have very sad news: the artist Rakko, known for his Suketto franchise, has passed away.
This was announced by his older brother through a post on Rakko’s official X account.

This is from Rakkon’s older brother.
Thank you so much for always warmly supporting my younger brother. We are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts.
On the morning of March 20, my brother passed away due to acute heart failure.
We heard that he felt something was wrong, called an ambulance himself, and fought desperately to stay alive until the very end.
When he was found, an unfinished manuscript was open on his PC desk, and it seems he was still sitting in his work chair with his waistband on.
I believe he lived a life truly dedicated to manga, facing it with sincerity until the very last moment.
The funeral was held as a private family ceremony. While we sincerely appreciate your kind thoughts, due to the wishes of the deceased, we have respectfully declined all condolences and offerings.
We apologize for the delay in this report. Please forgive us.Thank you very much for all the support you have given Rakkon until now.
We will not be responding to individual messages.
Comic ExE, the magazine where his works were serialized, also released the following statement:
