Blue Lock Episode 2 Preview Images Revealed

The preview images for episode 2 of Blue Lock were revealed on Wednesday. The first episode of the series titled “Monster” will air on Saturday, October 15. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.

Blue Lock Series Premiere Left a Lot To Be Desired

The season premiere of Blue Lock left its mark on fans this Fall 2022 anime season as the series debuted at #5 on our Week 2 weekly poll, just slightly ahead of My Hero Academia Season 6 and Mob Psycho 100 Season 3. While some found it difficult to enjoy the premiere, that doesn’t take away from the fact the overall majority of viewers enjoyed it. But with an extremely quick start to the series, Blue Lock episode 2 looks to keep the fast pace going!

Blue Lock is an anime adaptation of the original manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura which began publishing in 2018 under Weekly Shonen Magazine. Blue Lock is directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe and is animated by studio 8bit. Taku Kishimoto is in charge of the series’ composition and script. Kenji Tanabe and Kento Toya will handle the character designs. And Jun Murayama will produce the soundtrack.

Blue Lock Synopsis

Blue Lock will be a direct adaptation of the manga that Kodansha Comics describes as:
After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win. The Japan Football Union is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match…and to do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players. Who will emerge to lead the team…and will they be able to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way?
