Origin

The adult anime is based on Himawari wa Yoru ni Saku, a doujinshi by artist Hiromitsu Takeda, that was published on December 31, 2017.

The production company Lune Soft released its first and only animated episode on January 5, 2021.

Story

Norihito and Hisato Azuma have a beautiful marriage. But when Norihito makes a mistake at work and the company loses millions because of him, the president asks him to take responsibility by offering Hisato a job as his secretary. That will allow her to make up for her husband’s mistakes, and from that point on, she thanks the president for that chance the only way she knows.

Reception

Himawari wa Yoru ni Saku received an impressive response in Japan, becoming the best-selling hentai on the Getchu platform.

It also enjoyed great popularity overseas thanks to its infidelity-driven storyline and its beautiful protagonist.

The hentai was animated by T-Rex and directed by Raika Ken.
Both this title and Ajisai no Chiru Koro ni were released on the same day.
Himawari wa Yoru ni Saku and Ajisai no Chiru Koro ni are the first original adult works by artist Hiromitsu Takeda to receive animated adaptations.
