New Pokémon Anime Series Reveals April 14 Premiere, Key Visual, Main Cast

The previously announced new Pokémon anime series will premiere on April 14. Information about the main cast as well as a key visual has been released. The new series was announced after the conclusion of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, which also wrapped up Ash’s story.

Minori Suzuki (Macross Delta, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, I’m Quitting Heroing) will voice Liko, Yuka Terasaki (Hunter x Hunter, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun) is Roy, and Taku Yashiro ( That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld) is Friede.

The staff for the new Pokémon anime includes:

In addition, the franchise also announced that the first episode of the new anime series will be a one-hour special. Studio OLM is once again animating.

Pokémon, known as Pocket Monsters, is one of the longest-running anime series. It first premiered in 1997 with Pokemon: Indigo League. The franchise was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996 and started as a series of games, which then became a mixed-media franchise. The latest Pokemon anime ended as its mainstay character Ash officially won the Pokémon World Champion in the series.
