The Eminence in Shadow has released episode 14’s preview images and trailers. Episode 14 will air on January 4, 2022, and we will see a stronger Cid Kagenou and a move that we haven’t seen before. You can check out the preview images below:
Kazuya Nakanishi is directing The Eminence in Shadow anime at studio Nexus. HIDIVE has been streaming the series since October 5, 2022, and it currently has 13 episodes available. You can watch the trailer that is being narrated by the Witch of Calamity, Aurora (Kaori Nazuka):

Yen Press is publishing Yen Press Daisuke Aizawa’s The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) light novel series in English. The anime is currently adapting the second volume and you can read the synopsis below:
Cid pays a visit to the Sacred Land, where he finds himself getting roped into the Goddess’s Trial. It’s a ritual event that summons warriors from the past to engage with only the most worthy from the present. When Cid squares off against the witch who brought devastation to the world, the door to the Sanctuary creaks open, granting the Shadow Garden valuable insight into the possessed and the Cult of Diablos. That is until Cid, blissfully ignorant of the conspiracies playing out behind the scenes, runs amok!
Enterbrain is publishing the original light novel with Tozai’s illustrations, and it currently has 4 volumes available. Kadokawa Shoten is also serializing a manga adaptation by Anri Sanko, and as of now, it has 7 volumes in circulation.
