The previously teased collaboration between Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli has been revealed to be an original hand-drawn animated Star Wars short by Ghibli. The full title of the animated short is Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies, and it will stream on Disney Plus (Disney+) from November 12. Prior to the announcement, Studio Ghibli posted another teaser for the work earlier today. It was a picture of Grogu, with what seems to be the legendary director Hayao Miyazaki in the background. You can see it on their official Twitter account:
Studio Ghibli’s latest work was the Earwig and the Witch movie, which was released in 2020. Some of their iconic movies include Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle.
Meanwhile, every animated series produced by Lucasfilm has been Star Wars. Some of the series include Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and the latest Star Wars: Visions which also included 7 Japanese studios.
