Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Replaces Nika Nanaura’s Voice Actress with Haruka Shiraishi

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury announced on Tuesday that Yume Miyamoto, the voice actress of Nika Nanaura, will be replaced with Haruka Shiraishi due to her temporary hiatus. The new voice actress will begin to voice the character starting from the 10th episode, which is scheduled to broadcast on December 11, 2022. Miyamoto’s voice talent agency Himawari Theatre Group announced in the middle of this month that the voice actress has been unwell since the end of October 2022 and that she will prioritize treatment for the time being.

Haruka Shiraishi was born on April 8, 1995. The 27-year-old played main roles as Asirpa in Golden Kamuy and Fumino Furuhashi in We Never Learn. She is voicing Kosetsu in Shinobi no Ittoki this season.

Yume Miyamoto was born on January 22, 1997, and has been active as an actor since her childhood. Other than Nika Nanaura in the Gundam anime, the 25-year-old voice actor also voiced Rikka Takarada in SSSS.Gridman and Haru Nonaka in Sing “Yesterday” for Me.

The official website of the Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury anime introduces Nika Nanaura in English as:
A second-year student in the mechanical department, who belongs to Earth House. She loves mecha, and is very curious about Suletta’s Gundam Aerial. Nika has outstanding maintenance skills and is proud of herself for customizing Chuchu’s Demi Trainer.
