Bocchi the Rock Gets New Ending Song; Reveals Live Performance Video for Ano Band

Bocchi the Rock anime unveiled a new ending theme song in today’s episode. The 8th episode of the CloverWorks’ anime premiered earlier today and it featured “Nani ga Akira.” The new ending song was written by Yuho Kitazawa of the Peggies and performed by Nijika Ijichi, who is voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro.

In addition to the new ending song, Bocchi the Rock anime also revealed a special “live” video for the insert song “Ano Band” was revealed. This song’s lyrics were written by Ai Higuchi, who performed Attack on Titan’s recent ending song “Akuma no Ko.” Ritsuo Mitsui did the arrangement and Kayoko Kusano composed the music:

The song is now available to stream on multiple platforms. Kessoku Band’s live performance video was also accompanied by a special lyrics video for the song:

Kessoku Band, which is composed of the main characters in the anime, is also performing the opening theme song titled “Seishun Complex.“ The main cast includes:

  • Yoshino Aoyama as Hitori
  • Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika
  • Saku Mizuno as Ryo
  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo

Bocchi the Rock anime premiered this October and it follows the socially awkward Hitori Goto – Bocchi, as she joins a band and tries to make friends and overcome her awkwardness. Bocchi the Rock (stylized as Bocchi the Rock!) anime is based on a 4-Koma manga by Aki Hamaji. The serialization started in 2017 in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max.
