To Your Eternity Season 2 Creditless Opening and Ending Theme Released

Season 2 of To Your Eternity made its anticipated return this Sunday, and the creditless versions of the opening and ending themes are now available on YouTube. The videos were posted before the premiere of the first episode.

The opening theme song of the second season of To Your Eternity is titled “Pink Blood” by Hikaru Utada. It is the same opening theme from the first season, but it features new visuals of Fushi and side characters. Watch the creditless To Your Eternity Season 2 opening theme below:

Meanwhile, the ending theme song is an instrumental titled “Roots” by Masashi Hamazu, who also composed the first season’s ending theme which was titled “Mediator”. According to the official website, Masashi Hamazu commented that the song was inspired by the sound of time and that the song was titled by the original author, Yoshitoki Oima. Studio Drive is animating the sequel with Kiyoko Sayama as the director. Shinzo Fujita is on the series composition, Koji Yabuno is on character design, and Ryo Kawasaki is on the music. The voice cast includes Reiji Kawashima as Fushi, Kenjiro as The Beholder, Tomori Kusunoki as Hisame, Mitsuki Saiga as Kahaku, and Takehito Koyasu as Bonchien Nicoli la Tasty Peach Uralis.

To Your Eternity is based on a manga series by Yoshitoki Oima which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2016. The first season of the anime aired from April to August 2021. Brain’s Base animated the first season. which is currently being streamed on Crunchyroll. New episodes will be available to watch every Sunday at 7:00 PM JST. In the beginning, an “orb” is cast unto Earth. “It” can do two things: change into the form of the thing that stimulates “it”; and come back to life after death. “It” morphs from orb to rock, then to wolf, and finally to boy, but roams about like a newborn who knows nothing. As a boy, “it” becomes Fushi. Through encounters with human kindness, Fushi not only gains survival skills, but grows as a “person”. But his journey is darkened by the inexplicable and destructive enemy Nokker, as well as cruel partings with the people he loves.
