The previously announced Sasaki and Miyano movie revealed a tile – Graduation, along with a teaser trailer and visual. The premiere date is set for February 17, 2023, in Japan. Hirano and Kagiura, short movie which is based on a side story manga/novel, will be screened on the same day.
The staff from the TV anime is returning and includes:
- Director: Shinji Ishihara
- Assistant Director: Sodai Ueno
- Screenplay: Yoshiko Nakamura
- Character Designer: Maki Fuji
- Music: Kana Shibue
- Animation Production: Studio DEEN
The anime is based on a manga by Shou Harusono. The manga has been serialized on pixiv Comic platform. Media Factory publishes it in volume format. Yen Press is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
It all started like a typical old-school boys’ love plotline—bad-boy senior meets adorably awkward underclassman, one of them falls in love, and so on and so forth. But although Miyano is a self-proclaimed boys’ love expert, he hasn’t quite realized…he’s in one himself. Which means it’s up to Sasaki to make sure their story has a happily ever after…!
Hirano to Kagiura (Hirano and Kagiura) by the same author is currently ongoing in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Gene magazine. The light novel version of it was published in one volume in 2018.
