Spy x Family anime released a new illustration of Yuri Briar as the countdown to the second cour of the series continues. There are only 4 days left until its October 1 premiere date. Saori Yonezawa, an animation director, drew the illustration.
The newly released illustration shows Yuri fanboying for her sister Yor Forger and the upcoming second cour with a big smile, wearing a headband and a white “I ♡ YOR” shirt while holding vividly colorfully heart-shaped fans in both hands as if he is at a concert. The headband has handwriting text, saying “Nee-san is the best,” while the fans say “4 Days Left” on the left and “Until Spy x Family’s Broadcast” on the right respectively. He is also wearing two badges of Yor and there is a tag of “Spy x Family” at the bottom left. While all of this is happening, the Forger family’s little daughter Anya (technically his niece) is looking up to him with a mortified look on her face. The illustrator’s name is credited with the person’s role at the bottom right corner: Animation Director Saori Yonezawa.
Kensho Ono is voicing the character with sister-complex and he even quote-tweeted the anime’s official Twitter account’s post on September 27 night: “Nee-san is the best!“

The WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks’ collaborative anime Spy x Family based on Tatsuya Endo’s Shonen Jump+ manga of the same name began in April and ended its first cour on June 25 in Japan with the 12th episode. The second cour will begin broadcasting on October 1, and the manga’s next, 10th volume is scheduled to be released on October 4.
Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and describes the plot as:
Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!
