Gotōbun no Hanayome∽ (The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽) franchise will release a new anime special this summer. According to the official website, the anime will be televised and screened in Japanese theaters for three weeks starting on July 14. Theatergoers will receive a clear file featuring the anime’s visuals for a limited time. The anime will feature stories that were not included in previous anime projects.

The opening and ending theme songs for the quintuplets will be performed by the cast, which includes Kana Hanazawa, Ayana Taketatsu, Miku Itō, Ayane Sakura, and Inori Minase. The opening song, titled “Gotōbun no Mirai” (Five Equal Futures), and the ending song, “Takaramono” (Treasure), will be released on a CD on July 12. In addition to the theme songs, the CD will also feature songs from the Gotōbun no Hanayome: Goto Pazu Story and Gotōbun no Hanayome: Kanojo to Kawasu Itsutsu no Yakusoku games.
The original manga by Negi Haruba was launched in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in August 2017 and concluded in February 2020. The first season of the anime aired in January 2019 and had 12 episodes, while the second season aired from January to March 2021.
The franchise’s finale, The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie, premiered in Japan in May 2022. Crunchyroll began screening the film with English subtitles and an English dub in the United States and Canada on December 2.
