The upcoming sequel of the anime, which will showcase the finals of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament and serve as the conclusion of the original story, will be distributed globally by Netflix.

The first season of the anime was released worldwide on Netflix in July 2019, and the second part, which includes episodes 13 to 24, premiered on the platform in October of the same year. The anime initially debuted at Anime Expo in July 2018, and the manga earned the adaptation through a fan voting contest in 2015.

The Main Staff

The anime was helmed by Seiji Kishi (known for directing Danganronpa The Animation and Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) under the production company Larx Entertainment. Makoto Uezu (known for his work on Akame ga KILL! and The Heroic Legend of Arslan) served as the series composer, while Kazuaki Morita (who previously worked on Tsuki ga Kirei and Assassination Classroom) handled character design. The music was composed by Yasuharu Takanashi from Team-MAX (known for his work on Fairy Tail and Naruto Shippūden). The theme song “King & Ashley” was performed by MY FIRST STORY, while the ending theme song “Born This Way” was performed by the hip-hop group BAD HOP.

Kengan Ashura, created by Sandrovich with illustrations by Daromeon, made its debut on the Manga ONE app in 2012. The series concluded in August 2018, but a new arc was released on the Manga ONE app in January 2019.
