The team behind the anime adaptation of the light novel series “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” (also known as “Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru”) written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima has unveiled a new promotional video for the upcoming show. Shikao Suga will perform the ending theme song “Hachimitsu” (Honey).
Scheduled to premiere on April 6, the anime will be broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV, while Crunchyroll will stream it online.
The anime is being planned and produced by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS, with Millepensee in charge of animation. Shin Itagaki, known for directing the “Teekyū” franchise and “So I’m a Spider, So What?”, is serving as chief director and overseeing the series scripts, while Shingo Tanabe, who worked as an episode director for “So I’m a Spider, So What?” and “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean,” is directing the anime. Hiromi Kimura is adapting the characters for animation from Rein Kuwashima’s original designs and is also the chief animation director, and Akiyuki Tateyama is composing the music. The opening theme song “Gyakuten Geki” (Turnabout Drama) will be performed by Tsukuyomi.
The light novel series has sold two million copies worldwide, with the 12th volume released in Japan on December 20. The manga’s fourth volume was also released on December 26. In addition, a browser game titled “Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru – Level Up wa Jinsei o Kaeta: Parallel Universe” is set to launch on the G123 platform worldwide in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. The MMORPG will be free to play but will feature optional in-game purchases.
